Position Overview Automation Manufacturing Technology (AMT) of TEConnectivity has an opportunity for an intern with strong technical and teamworking capabilities in next generation robotics development. The individualshall be capable to work with AMT team members to develop the neededtechnologies for autonomous navigation mobile robot and task level orientedindustrial robots. Knowledge in modeling and control of the industrial robotand mobile robot, autonomous navigation, ROS (Robot Operation System), robotprogramming, as well as software programming are the preferred technicalcapabilities. This is a rare opportunity to join a highperforming organization, reporting to AMT Shanghai Senior Manager. This rolewill also work closely with AMT robotics engineer, electrical engineer,mechanical engineer and machine vision engineer.Key Responsibilities:
- Support to develop Autonomous Mobile Transportation System for flexible material transportation in manufacturing plants and warehouses
- Support the material calling App under android studio as part of the development task of the Autonomous Mobile Transportation System
- Work with team members to implement algorithms on map building, global local path planning, path finding and its optimization, as well as obstacle avoidance
- Use ROS to develop and verify algorithms for autonomous navigation for the mobile robot
- Use ROS to develop and verify algorithms on modeling and control for industrial robot
- Participate in the development of the task-level robot programming methods to fit with TE’s applications with industrial robots
- Curious in new technologies in robotics, automatic control, and eager to learn new technologies related to robotics
- Experience in ROS/ROS Industrial system, and have developed robotic system under ROS
- Solid mathematical background, particularly in vector operations and matrix operations
- Solid knowledge background in robot kinematic modeling and dynamic modeling
- Familiar with robot programming methods, experience in robot programming language for at least one type of industrial robot is highly preferred
- Know-how of sensors, signal acquisition and processing and machine vision technologies, as well as sensor-based robotic control
- Know-how in Industrial and System Engineering, and the performance parameters of the industrial manufacturing systems is preferred
- Experience of, or strong interest in using Embedded System for programming and developing applications preferred
- Experience of using professional software tools, such as Labview, matlab etc. for robotic control model development and simulation is preferred
- Experience of using C/C++, Python, or Java for programming tasks on robot control system development and simulation, as well as for App development under Android
- A master or PhD degree candidate is preferred
- Demonstrated excellent teamwork during working with other people
- The period of internship which is more than 6 months is preferred
