Primary Job Responsibilities
As
part of the PayPal Enterprise Service organization, we are currently recruiting
for a motivated and passionate Data Product Engineer. The major responsibility is to
develop web-based data products which would largely enable efficient and
accurate decisions and generate insights for Risk Management & Operations
domain in an automatic way. This role creates opportunities for the candidate to
establish strong skills, including but not limited to efficient data processing
/ analyzing, end-to-end product developing, product design, etc.
Job Requirements:
Develop
monitoring and alerting framework with high performance and availability which
provides flexible and generic alerting services for millions of business
metrics.
Develop
auto rule learning platform
which helps business partners to better fight against fraud attacks.
Develop
and maintain existing risk management related data products, investigate and
solve on-going issues.
Basic Qualifications
Working
experience in Python, familiar with OOP design patterns (welcome for Pythonista!).
Experience
in front-end web developing; familiar with HTML, JavaScript and CSS and one of
the following framework: jQuery/Vue/AngularJS/React
Experience
in database usage (MySQL/MongoDB/TSDB/Redis)
Hands
on with one of the programming languages: Java, C++, Scala
Experience
in big data programming (Hadoop/Spark/Hive) is a big plus
Experience
in machine learning application is a big plus
Good
team player and self-starter
