You’ll be part of a brilliantengineering team that has a culture of open communication, collaboration, andinnovation. We are looking for engineers who have a strong self-directed workethic and make it happen mindset.  

Applicants are expected to be articulate,detail-oriented and highly analytical.
You will be working with teams all across VMware. Youwill participate in all phases of product development for the VMware privatecloud, including: gathering requirements/user stories, system architecture, thedesign/prototyping process, authoring specifications, implementation, andtesting for features developed. You will be responsible to create systems withuser-friendly interface, flexible configuration, scalable backend and reliableinfrastructure to support VMware R&D teams to deliver in a highly effectiveand agile model.

Applicants should exhibit experience in buildingdistributed applications, APIs and fault-tolerant solutions with both front-endand backend experience.
Responsibilities:
• Develop a highly configurable, scalable andreliable cloud system to meet R&D users’ requirements within the entiredevelopment lifecycle
• Collaborate with a group of engineers (local andremote, product and sales) to deliver the systems, using proven developmentprocesses (Agile/SCRUM).  
• Partner with infrastructure teams such as DevOps,TechOps, Networking and Storage to drive high levels of customer satisfactionfor the service.

Requirements:  
• Experience in buildingmulti-tier, scalable, enterprise level products or components.
• Experience in building PaaS for internal orexternal customers.
• Experience in web application development.
• Experience in scripting languages, python and Ruby.  • Experience in VMware productssuch as ESX & vCenter is a plus.
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or relatedmajor.
